Caregiver Support Groups

Our Mission: To provide caregivers with an empathetic, safe and confidential environment. A place where they will be refreshed, they will be able to laugh, to cry, to share their concerns and be unconditionally accepted. A place where they can find hope and emotional support. A place where they will become aware of resources in the community that can help with their caregiving responsibilities.

We offer Coffee & Conversation Groups for Caregivers:
Evening groups meet the 4th Tuesday of each month at the Hudson Valley Senior Residence, 80 Washington Ave., Kingston, NY 334-5169. Meetings start at 5:30pm(Hudson Valley Senior Residence)

Jewish Family Services, a partner of UCOFA and funded through Federal & county dollars offers 3 support groups and will be starting a fourth in March, in Ellenville at the library day and time yet to be determined. A grandparent group meets every other Wednesday @the LGBTQ @12:00. Another group under consideration will be in the Shandaken area.

The three existing goups are New Paltz from 10:00 am to 11:45 every Wednesday at the Village Hall small conference room. Saugerties LGBTQ, at the Senior Center, the 1st. and 3rd. Thrusday of every month @7:30 to 8:45 pm. Their wil also be Kingston group that will meet @ the LGBTQ every other Friday @11:00 to 12:15. Call Jewish Family Services at 338-2980 for further information on all of their caregiver groups.
