Exhibit - Archives Grand Opening
Ulster County Archives Officially Opened
On Thursday October 10th, 2002, Ulster County Clerk, Albert Spada hosted a reception at the Ulster County Record Center to officially open the newest division of his Records Management Program - The Ulster County Archives.
The work of the Archives Division is available for review now through this web site. "For the first time in the history of Ulster County, people any where in the world will be able to read about the earliest records filed in this office", said Ulster County Clerk Albert Spada.
In addition to descriptions of archival records, the new site offers access to searchable indexes of Dutch Court Records, Naturalization Records and Marriage Records. Not hooked up to the internet? Not a problem! The Ulster County Archives has a computer dedicated for researchers.
For information about this and other services or to schedule an appointment to look at original archival records, call the Ulster County Records Center at 340-3415. Appointments are necessary.
