Services: Projects to Empower and Organize the Psychiatrically Labeled (PEOPLe) is a consumer-run organization which advocates with and provides services for people with mental health issues. PEOPLe provides individual and systems advocacy, in-hospital advocacy (Benedictine Hospital & Hudson River Psychiatric Center), peer support groups, advocacy trainings, public speaking, Wellness Recovery Action Plan classes, recreational activities and social events (i.e., Coffee House, dances, Nights Out in Kingston and Ellenville).

PEOPLe also operates a Hospital Diversion House that people may use as an alternative to hospitalization. PEOPLe has a peer companion service as an alternative to staying at The Rose House in the event that one does not want to leave home and is in need of support to prevent a potential crisis.

PEOPLe, Inc. provides Supported Housing which is a rental subsidy program that assists in rental costs and provides care coordination to promote optimum recovery for individuals in the program.

PEOPLe, Inc. serves adults 18 years and older who are consumers of mental health services and/or Ulster County residents.
