BLANKET REQUEST: Certified Nursing Assistant (Permanent, Less Than Half Time, Non-Benefited, Non-Competitive) LOCATION: Golden Hill Health Care Center SALARY: $21.79 Per Hour GRADE: 6 CONTINUOUS RECRUITMENT: April 16, 2010 - December 31, 2010 DISTINGUISHED FEATURES OF THE CLASS: The work involves the performance of routine yet responsible paraprofessional resident care duties in accordance with a generally prescribed routine. Primary duties of this position include direct personal resident services, including safety, comfort, personal hygiene or protection services under the general supervision of a Registered or Licensed Practical Nurse. Does related work as required.
FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS: Working knowledge of the principles and practices of health care in an institutional setting; ability to understand and carry out routine oral and written directions relative to resident care; physical strength and mental alertness; willingness to cooperate and to carefully follow a prescribed routine; discretion; tact and good judgment; ability to get along well with others and to secure cooperation of residents; physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.
MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS:
Certification
by the New York State Department of Health and listing in the New York State
RHCF Nurse Aide Registry as required by Ten (10) NYCRR (B) (7).
Note:
Certified Nursing Assistants must attend at least six (6) hours of compensated
