BLANKET REQUEST: Leisure Time Activities Aide (Non-Competitive) (Permanent: Less-Than-Half-Time) (Non-Benefited Positions) LOCATION: SALARY: $10.82 Per Hour CONTINUOUS RECRUITMENT: February 2, 2007 – December 31, 2007 DISTINGUISHED FEATURES OF THE CLASS: This is non-technical work involving responsibility for assisting in the conduct of a varied program of diverse, meaningful and other normal leisure time activities with *patients in the health care facility which are not required to be performed by professional activities personnel. Incumbents may also be required to carry out routine housekeeping and helper tasks as assigned. The position is similar to other non-professional positions in the health care field such as Occupational Therapy Aide or Physical Therapy Aide, but is concerned primarily with functions of the activities program. The work is performed under direct supervision. Supervision of the work of others is not a responsibility of employees in this class. Does related work as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: No formal training is required; however, candidates must possess the ability to read and write. In addition, a knowledge of arts and crafts is preferred.
