BLANKET REQUEST: Nursing Assistant Trainee (Non-Competitive) (Temporary, More-Than-Half-Time) LOCATION: SALARY: $7.15 Per Hour CONTINUOUS RECRUITMENT: February 2, 2007 – December 31, 2007 DISTINGUISHED FEATURES OF THE CLASS: The work involves on the job training to become qualified as a Nursing Assistant. The incumbent is required to participate in a New York State Department of Health approved Residential Health Care Facility (RHCF) one hundred (100) hour training program. Upon successful completion of the training program the trainee receives a record of completion. The trainee is under the direct supervision of a Registered Professional or Licensed Practical Nurse and assumes specific duties involving direct resident care as training and successful demonstration of competencies in the specific duties/ skills are completed, but not before completing at least sixteen (16) hours of classroom instruction. Does related work as required.
