JOB VACANCY: Community Services Aide/Contingent-Permanent/ Full-Time/Benefited LOCATION: Department of Social Services SALARY: $13.02 Per Hour / Grade 1 FILL DATE: March 28, 2012 DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS: The Community Services Aide is a nonprofessional employed in the implementation of a plan providing direct services of benefit to individuals, groups or the community as a whole. Under supervision, the incumbent performs a variety of miscellaneous tasks related to the delivery of social services. Preference in appointment will be given to persons of low income and persons dependent on public assistance. FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS: Ability to understand and follow instructions; ability to read and write English; sensitivity to the reactions of others; physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: If college or university education is indicated; transcripts are required and should be attached to all applications received.
