JOB VACANCY: Laundry Worker (Permanent, Less Than Half Time, Non-Benefited, Non-Competitive Class) LOCATION: SALARY: $10.35 Per Hour FILL DATE: 11/30/2007 DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS: This is routine work involving responsibility for the cleaning and reconditioning of linen and other fabrics in laundry. Duties require some knowledge of laundry machines and appliances and familiarity with the uses of laundry materials and equipment. Work is performed under continual supervision and the finished product is carefully examined for adherence to work standards.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: None is required. Special Note: When employed at the Golden Hill Health Care Center, in accordance with the New York Department of Health Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) program, it is required that a CHRC be obtained for any non-licensed prospective employees who will provide care or supervision to residents. Such employees will be considered as temporary employees when hired, until such time as the CHRC is completed and the employee’s background check is cleared, then the employees may become permanent.
