JOB VACANCY: Ward Clerk (Permanent, Full Time, Benefited, Competitive Class) LOCATION: SALARY: $12.52 Per Hour FILL DATE: 12/5/2007 DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS: This is routine clerical and receptionist work involving responsibility for assisting with the record keeping details of providing nursing care to residents of an infirmary or health related facility. Work is performed under immediate supervision permitting some leeway for the exercise of independent judgment in carrying out the details of the work.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Successful completion of the eight grade in school; or its' equivalent. Special Note: When employed at the Golden Hill Health Care Center, in accordance with the New York Department of Health Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) program, it is required that a CHRC be obtained for any non-licensed prospective employees who will provide care or supervision to residents. Such employees will be considered as temporary employees when hired, until such time as the CHRC is completed and the employee’s background check is cleared, then the employees may become permanent.
If college or university education is indicated; transcripts are required and should be attached to all applications received. A candidate lacking the required transcripts will receive a conditional approval pending the receipt of transcripts.
