The Ulster County Transportation Council’s Technical Committee is responsible for coordinating and managing the UCTC's transportation planning program activities and providing technical advice, support, and recommendations to the Policy Committee. The Technical Committee is comprised of municipal staff representatives appointed by Policy Committee members.

The Technical Committee monitors the operational aspects of the UCTC planning program for consistency with Federal, State, and local planning requirements, reviews technical and policy-oriented projects and programs, makes recommendations to the Policy Committee for further review and consideration, and monitors the activities of staff.
