The Insurance Department processes all phases of insurance
except health and unemployment. It administers the Ulster County Self-Insurance
Plan (workers' compensation) and Ulster County Disability. It also reviews
all County contracts for proper insurance, and purchases and maintains
insurance policies, including general liability, auto liability, law enforcement
liability, employer liability, property damage, auto physical damage,
crime, inland Marine, and medical malpractice. Handles all claims in connection
with coverage listed.
