SUNY Ulster prides itself on a strong tradition of providing exceptional education in a student-focused environment.  Offering nearly 60 academic programs, students are prepared to succeed in a wide variety of careers and industry-specific credentialing programs. We serve as a crucial gateway to higher education, with more than 60% of our students successfully transferring to four-year colleges throughout the nation to complete their baccalaureate degrees.

 

Recognized for our robust liberal arts program, other notable programs include Veterinary Technology, Graphic and Fine Arts, Education and Criminal Justice.  New programs include Business & Entrepreneurship, Computer Science (Online), Theater, Music and an A.A.S. in Criminal Justice. We provide both traditional and adult students with flexible options, including a multitude of online and blended courses, Saturday and evening classes, accelerated degrees and condensed courses. A growing  array of study abroad and internship opportunities provides students with the ability to broaden their horizons and gain valuable career experience.

 

SUNY Ulster provides cultural and social experiences for students through its arts, athletics and extra-curricular activities. Our innovative arts programming introduces students and the community to internationally recognized writers, poets, and visual and performing artists in the classroom, the Muroff Kotler Visual Arts Gallery, Student Lounge and in our 500-seat Quimby Theater.

 

Stone Ridge Campus: Our main campus provides students with an inspirational mountain setting. Services and facilities available to community residents include an online library catalog system and access to a full range of electronic databases; professional search assistance during library hours; the Children’s Center, providing fully-licensed day care; a 500-seat theater; tennis courts; and an 1,800 seat gym.

 

Business Resource Center : The College’s Kingston-based campus is home to the Office of Continuing and Professional Education where day, evening and weekend training and education are offered. In addition to classrooms and state-of-the-art computer labs, the BRC houses the College’s Development Center for Business, the Mid-Hudson Regional Small Business Development Center , and the Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE). Over 400 career, enrichment and lifestyle courses are offered in subjects that range from clean energy technologies, computers and medical careers to yoga, sewing and foreign languages. In addition, many regional businesses rely on the BRC to develop customized training for employees.
