Ulster County Sheriff’s Communications Center

The Ulster County Sheriff’s Communications Center located within the Ulster County Law Enforcement Center (UCLEC) is the center for Sheriff’s law enforcement operations.

The member assigned in the center answers phone calls made to the Sheriff’s emergency 7-digit phone number (845-338-3640), operates multiple radio channels, performs computer operations on several law enforcement computer database systems, and a myriad of communications related tasks.

The Sheriff’s Communications Center is a secure facility equipped with leading-edge technology, which provides immediate access to various federal, state and local law enforcement databases, and acts as the “hub” to the Sheriff’s Mobile Data Computer (MDC) system.

The center also receives and dispatches calls for the Towns of Rosendale and Shawangunk Police Departments.
